INTO THE STILL
Hudson Valley Adventure: A Weekend Retreat at Bedford Post Inn
July 18–20, 2025 · Bedford Post Inn · Bedford, New York
In Partnership with Bedford Post Inn — Relais & Châteaux
Train consistently. Go quiet. Come back clear.
Embark on Into the Still, a guided weekend retreat that blends one month of dedicated training with an earned weekend in the quiet of the Hudson Valley. This retreat is designed for active adults who are ready to show up adventure-ready — and come back clear.
The Vital Difference
Receive professional training, development, and resources to empower peak performance, endurance, and the confidence to step onto the trail knowing you've already done the work.
-
We build your training around your current fitness level — ensuring every participant arrives adventure-ready. Over one month, we build your confidence and fitness ability, culminating in an 8-mile guided hike through Westchester County's most spectacular wilderness.
-
Receive a detailed day-by-day fitness progression plan, focusing on building strength and endurance over one month. Train consistently with cardio, strength, and conditioning designed specifically for trail performance.
-
Your crew is built before you ever meet in person. Group accountability, guided journal prompts, and community motivation are built in from day one — so the weekend is the reward, not the introduction.
-
Every participant receives a VITAL journal at kickoff — with guided prompts across the training month, on-site throughout the weekend, and to carry home. The full arc: preparation → trail → clarity.
-
Expert-designed cardio, strength, and conditioning program
VITAL journal with guided prompts from kickoff through Sunday morning
Community accountability and group introductions before arrival
Personalized goal-setting and training accountability framework
Ongoing coaching support and performance resources

Where You’ll Move

The Yoga Loft is a multifaceted studio dedicated to serving guests of Bedford Post Inn and the surrounding community. The airy, light-filled studio offers a peaceful oasis — and just off the studio, a newly constructed patio allows for outdoor practice in a tranquil setting.
All movement and recovery sessions for Into the Still are led by Dana Covello, Director of Yoga at The Loft — including Friday evening yoga, Saturday afternoon recovery, and Sunday morning meditation, breathwork, and yoga.
Where You’ll Hike
Ward Pound Ridge Reservation
Ward Pound Ridge Reservation spans 4,700 acres of rolling countryside — Westchester County's largest park. The terrain is extremely varied, ranging from deep hollows to ridges 800 feet high, with hemlock gorges, dry uplands, wetlands, ponds, and two rivers.
The hilly terrain is a mix of second-growth hardwood forest, hemlock, laurel, bold rock outcroppings, and steep ravines. Saturday's 8-mile guided hike moves through this landscape with Libby — finishing with a trailside lunch at Shelter 5.
